Recorded on a rode nt1a using my yamaha ag03. A thunderstorm passing my house close to the alps. Use with or without credit, for anything you want including commercial - cc0. <3.

This recording was made in the afternoon during a rainshower under my carport in louisiana. The rain is striking three different surfaces in this track: cement, roofing and plantlife. Now, i'm no pro, nor is my equipment (olympus ws-310m w/ built in mic), so discerning these different sounds is difficult. You can hear the dripping from rain: fast drip in the background of this track. However slight, there is also a noticeable electronic note which is simultaneous with the water striking these surfaces. You can also hear slight rustling sounds that could be wind or my shirt moving near the mic (i was wearing the device on a lanyard). The file is wav, recorded in stereo at 16 bit at 44. 1mhz.

Thunderstorm on the evening of 20 march 2017 in ohio. Recorded with tascam dr-05 with level control set to limiter and limit value at 38 which yielded peaks about -12db. Processed in sony vegas and saved with sound markers.

I recorded this standing outside our side door. You can hear a long, low rumble of distant thunder.

In this sample you hear a recording from inside a well sound insulated room, directly under the roof of a house. Strong rain hints the roof and produces low frequency muted sounds. In the background you hear the constant noise of the rain, coming through the window. There are also a few raindrops hitting the glass of the window. The sample was recorded using the built-in stereo microphone of a zoom h4n recorder. It was slightly processed to remove unwanted low and high frequencies which were not related to the actual recording. Planted my iphone 6 right at the opening of a garage during some pretty heavy rain. Includes broad rain sounds, some close drips, some distant cars and an occasional bird noise. Pretty multi-purpose i'd imagine. Have fun with it. Or don't. I don't own you.

Thunderstorm aftermath. Sounds of a thunderstorm about 10 minutes after it left the area. So low rumbles and rain dripping. The sound was recorded using a yamaha audiogram6 connected to a radioshack brand vocal microphone. Sampling was done at 44,100hz and the data was recorded using audacity. I recorded everything as a wav file and then uploaded it the same.

A rainstorm i recorded years ago.

A soundscape of several thunderstorms mixed together to create a uniquely immersive, full field recording. This editing process allows for rain and thunder strikes to be recorded at different volumes and creates a more diverse atmosphere with different types of rain, wind, and ambiance melded into one found sound. Although each storm was recorded in a slightly different location, everything is from the greater detroit, mi, usa area. -recorded entirely with a tascam dr-03 set at 48 k / 24 bit. Then each different storm was edited together in magix music maker. -this album version fades out with a simple, repeating synth line.

Recorded with a zoom h4n onboard microphones, spur of the moment kind of thing. No checking for an optimal recording position, or levels. I just switched it on, opened the window fully and started recording. The batteries were running on empty so i quickly caught as much as i could.

Well. . . . . Field recording is a bit of a stretch this was recorded on my back porch in springfield mo usa in june of 2000. I used a minidisk and two pzm's and a home made spliter box that worked only if you never touched it. It was one in the morning to try and avoid most of the traffic. Rain starts about half way in.
